Data protection notice

Rates you edit, allowances you set and project details you add remain in the estimate draft stored in your browser. We do not aggregate, benchmark, publish, sell or use that information to train any model.

It depends on which reader you use, and the difference matters for the confidentiality terms most tender documents are issued under.

Signed out, or using the on-device reader. Bills of quantities and other pricing documents are read in your browser. The file is never transmitted to us or to anyone else, and is discarded from memory when the tab closes.

Using the AI reader. The document, or page images taken from it, is sent to Anthropic, which operates the model that reads it. We do not store it: it passes through and only the structured result comes back. Anthropic’s commercial terms prohibit training on it, and it is deleted after a short abuse-monitoring period.

If a document may not lawfully leave your organisation, use the on-device reader. It is always available, it sends nothing, and the answer to “where did our bill go” stays “it did not leave the estimator’s computer”.

Saved estimates are written to the local storage of the browser you created them in, not to an InfraBid database. They are not synchronised across devices. Another person using that browser profile may be able to see them, so use a private work device for confidential tenders.

The model reads documents and chooses which library item a bill line corresponds to. It is never shown rates and never produces a price. The deterministic engine in the app takes the chosen item and does the arithmetic, so the same bill against the same library always produces the same total.

Your work is not used to train any model, is not pooled with other customers’ work, and is not fed back into the rate library.

The library is built from published Irish schedules of rates (TII, NTA and SEO schedules) and is delivered from our database to your browser. It is not built from another user’s tender documents, draft estimates or edited rates, and your work is never added to it.

Every estimate can be exported to CSV with its full breakdown. A saved draft can be removed from the Estimates workspace. Clearing InfraBid’s site data in the browser removes all remaining trial drafts on that device; because they are local, we cannot recover them afterwards.

If you believe data has been exposed or handled incorrectly, tell us at info@infrabid.ie and we will investigate. Where a personal data breach is likely to result in a risk to individuals, we will notify the Irish Data Protection Commission within 72 hours of becoming aware of it, and affected users without undue delay.
